When you hear all the folks talking about "Play Day" this is it, and it's that time again. This is what we call our annual toy drive / fund raiser, which we use to help those less priviledged than us enjoy a special Christmas season. Each year the Waco Eagles Motorcycle Club puts together our Play Day. Volunteers dream up events to make each year more & more exciting but there are always the favorite activities that remain. The "water balloon race where riders will do a one lap moto while attempting to carry a water balloon in one hand without dropping it. There is also the infamous "slow race" where we all line up on our 2-wheeled steeds and at the drop of the flag make our way to the finish as slow as possible while continuing in a forward direction and not putting feet down. It's not as easy as you think.
There is the barrel race where riders will push a barrel to the finish and back and a moto rodeo and a tag team buddy MX race. A big hit last year was the mud drags over at the little known mud pits inside the flat track. This year we will have a MX race running backward on the track and of course the drag races on the Flat Track. In the past we have had many other events like a poker run and cross country race. If you have an idea, bring it on!
Bring a cash donation (minimum of $10) of a new unwrapped gift for a child and we'll start the day off about 10am with a few events to work up an appetite. Lunch is usualy around 11:30 and there's plenty to go around and everything is provided.
